My family is extremely grateful to have the Orange City Hospital in our community as we welcomed our third child into our family.
Approximately 1-1/2 years ago my husband and I had our first miscarriage. This came unexpectedly after previously having two healthy baby girls with uncomplicated pregnancies. Three and a half months following this, I had my second miscarriage. My doctor, Dr. Turek, shared significant compassion during this tough time. At that time we were unsure about trying a third time because of the difficulties we had. Dr. Turek immediately encouraged us to speak with Dr. Hanson. With the initial consultation as well as subsequent appointments and eventually the labor process, Dr. Hanson demonstrated significant expertise in the Creighton Model and FertilityCare. He also demonstrated significant sincerity and compassion regarding the entire difficult situation.
We learned the Creighton Model with Kari Beadner, certified FertilityCare specialist, who also demonstrated the same knowledge and support. Following charting, Dr. Hanson quickly identified potential areas of concern. When I again became pregnant, he carefully monitored my progesterone. Because it remained very low throughout my pregnancy, I remained on injections.
On February 21, just one day past due, we welcomed a healthy baby boy.
In the delivery room, we experienced wonderful OB nurses who were extremely helpful during the labor process. We are extremely thankful for our baby boy, and grateful to my doctors, Dr. Hanson and Dr. Turek, and their nurses for their knowledge as well as significant compassion shown over the last year and a half.
